Your First Eyebrow Wax: Before, During and After

A first eyebrow wax is quick, and most people find it more surprising than painful. We shape the brow to suit your face, remove the strays, and send you off with simple care steps. Here is the whole visit from start to finish.
Before you come in
- Let your brows grow for a couple of weeks if you can, so there is enough hair for the wax to grip.
- Do not tweeze or trim beforehand. Leave the shaping to us.
- Come with a clean face and no active skincare on the brows.
- Tell us about retinoids, acne medications, recent peels or sun damage, since these can make skin more sensitive.
What happens in the chair
We talk through the shape you want and map it out before any wax goes on. The wax is applied in small sections and removed quickly. It can sting for a moment, and then it settles. We check as we go, so we do not take more than you want gone.
Afterward
Pinkness is normal and usually fades within a few hours. For the rest of the day, skip hot showers, heavy exercise, makeup on the brow and scrubbing. Sunscreen helps the following days.
