Most eyebrow waxes at Radiance take about 15 to 30 minutes, including consultation and shaping. Time varies with hair density and desired shaping, and we allow extra time for first-time clients or detailed design requests.
Some temporary redness or mild irritation is normal immediately after waxing, but it typically subsides within a few hours to a day. We use soothing aftercare and can recommend products to calm skin and reduce inflammation.
For best results, hair should be about 1/4 inch long so the wax can grip effectively. If hair is too short, wait a week; if overly long, consider trimming slightly before your appointment.
Retinol increases skin sensitivity; we recommend stopping retinol products at least 5-7 days before waxing. If you are unsure, consult with your esthetician during booking so we can assess skin condition and adjust treatment safely.
Most clients return every 3 to 6 weeks depending on hair growth and desired maintenance. Thinner or slower-growing hair may need less frequent visits; your esthetician will recommend a schedule tailored to your natural growth and preferences.
Avoid sun exposure, heavy sweating, makeup, and harsh skincare for 24 hours. Apply a gentle soothing lotion or aloe and avoid exfoliation for 48 hours to prevent irritation and support healing for best results.
