What the consultation includes
The Beautiful Skin BluePrint begins with a focused intake that captures your medical history, current products, skin concerns from aging to acne, and lifestyle factors. In Overland Park we consider seasonal pollen, humidity and temperature swings as part of the assessment. The consultation is scheduled for 45 minutes and the fee is $99, during which we prioritize the issues you bring up.
During this time we perform a visual skin analysis and discuss goals, sensitivities and past treatments. You should expect practical guidance on whether treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, or LED therapy may be appropriate, and a realistic conversation about timing, maintenance and any necessary patch testing before procedures.
How we assess your skin
Assessment relies on a combination of visible examination and detailed questioning about product use, sun exposure, and seasonal triggers common in our area. We look for signs of barrier disruption, oiliness, dehydration, sun damage and active acne. This helps us determine which treatment modalities to discuss rather than make assumptions about what will work for you.
We also review contraindications and practical constraints — for example schedules that favor evening or weekend visits for commuters using I-435, or family commitments that affect recovery windows. The result is a prioritized plan that pairs in-clinic options with realistic at-home care recommendations.
Preparing and follow-up
Before your appointment bring a list of current skincare products, any medications, and photos of areas of concern if possible. Arrive prepared to discuss recent sun exposure, allergy seasons, and past procedures so recommendations can be safely tailored to your history and to Overland Park’s climate patterns.
After the consultation you'll receive a clear next-step plan outlining suggested treatments, estimated timelines, and homecare changes. We’ll discuss scheduling, expected recovery needs, and whether a patch test or staged approach is advisable before moving forward with treatments like chemical peels or microneedling.
