Get answers to common questions about Dermaplaning (added to a service ONLY!).
Yes. When performed by our licensed estheticians, dermaplaning is safe for most skin types. We assess sensitivities and acne activity first; avoid if you have active cystic acne or open lesions. Expect minimal redness and immediate smoothing.
Results vary, but you can expect smoother skin and reduced peach fuzz for three to four weeks. Regular maintenance every four to six weeks keeps skin consistently polished and enhances cumulative skin improvements alongside your chosen facial treatments.
No—peach fuzz grows back at the same rate and texture. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair but doesn’t alter hair thickness or growth speed. Any regrowth is soft and unnoticeable compared with coarse terminal hairs.
Yes—many clients pair dermaplaning with gentle chemical peels for deeper exfoliation and brighter results. Your esthetician will recommend peel strength based on skin sensitivity to avoid irritation and optimize safety and effectiveness.
Immediately skin feels smoother and looks luminous. Mild redness or sensitivity may occur for 24–48 hours. Avoid active sun exposure, strong acids and retinol for several days, and follow at-home care your esthetician provides for best results.
Not ideal for clients with active acne cysts, open wounds, contagious skin conditions, or recent isotretinoin use. Pregnant clients can have dermaplaning; we’ll consult individually to confirm suitability and customize the treatment plan.
