Your First LED Light Therapy Session, Step by Step

Before you come in

• Come with a clean face if you can. If not, we will cleanse your skin first.
• Tell us what you want help with: breakouts, redness, dullness or fine lines.
• Mention a recent peel, sunburn or any skin that feels raw or sore right now.
• Pause strong exfoliating acids and prescription retinoids for a couple of days beforehand, unless we say otherwise.

What happens, step by step

• Chat: we ask about your skin, your products and any medication.
• Cleanse: we remove makeup and sunscreen so the light reaches clean skin.
• Eye protection: you will have your eyes covered, as the light is bright.
• Light: you relax under the panel for around 15 minutes.
• Finish: we may add a soothing product and talk through aftercare.

What it feels like

Usually nothing much. Some people notice warmth, others fall asleep. You will not peel or feel tender, and makeup is fine later the same day for most people, though a lighter hand helps.

Let us know if you are pregnant, take medication or use products that make your skin sensitive to light, have an active infection, or have a skin condition. If you are not sure, check with your doctor before you book.

After your session
